Hockley keepers reach PL1 Goalkeeping Academy in around fifteen minutes, dropping down through Rochford to our base on Eastwoodbury Lane by the airport.
Hockley is the leafy, woodland town north-west of the venue — Hockley Woods is one of the largest surviving ancient woodlands in Essex — with a strong commuter-town football community. Its goalkeepers get plenty of Saturday football but no dedicated coaching close to home.
PL1 fills that gap with specialist sessions built entirely around the number one, from first catches to the academy pathway. Since 2018 our UEFA/FA-qualified coaches have sent 25 keepers into professional clubs — the same journey starts with a free trial.
