Rayleigh keepers come in along the A127 corridor to PL1 Goalkeeping Academy on Eastwoodbury Lane — roughly twenty minutes east from the town centre, past the airport.
Rayleigh is the big western market town, with the National Trust's Rayleigh Mount and the windmill above a busy High Street, and one of the largest junior football populations in the area. That many teams means plenty of goalkeepers — and, until PL1, nowhere local to specialise.
PL1 is where ambitious Rayleigh number ones go to get better, with UEFA/FA-qualified coaches and a genuine route through Academy and PRO towards academy football. The record backs it up: 25 PL1 keepers signed to professional clubs since 2018.

Our holiday camps are open to outfield players as well as keepers — every age, every ability. They run at the academy on Eastwoodbury Lane, about 20 minutes from Rayleigh, 10am–3pm. Drop in for one date or come to them all.
