Rochford is PL1 Goalkeeping Academy's nearest town — the airport sits between the market square and our pitch on Eastwoodbury Lane, so it is under ten minutes door to door.
Rochford keeps its old market-town character, with the historic square, Rochford Hundred and open country all around. For local goalkeepers it is ideally placed: specialist coaching is right on the doorstep rather than a trek into Southend.
That closeness means we have grown a lot of Rochford keepers from beginners into serious number ones. Formed in 2018 with UEFA/FA-qualified coaches, PL1 has guided 25 goalkeepers into professional academies — and it is an easy first free trial from anywhere in SS4.

Our holiday camps are open to outfield players as well as keepers — every age, every ability. They run at the academy on Eastwoodbury Lane, about 8 minutes from Rochford, 10am–3pm. Drop in for one date or come to them all.
